Derek Pell Announces Candidacy for Roseville City School District Trustee Area 2

Every Roseville child deserves an excellent education and a strong foundation for their future. As the father of a kindergartener in our district and a two-year-old who’ll soon follow, I have a personal stake in ensuring our schools are the best. Students succeed when families, teachers, and schools work together with a shared focus on learning.

Local public schools gave me the foundation to earn bachelor’s and master’s engineering degrees from UC Davis and build a career manufacturing life-saving medical technology. As a Roseville Transportation Commission member, I’ve learned firsthand the importance of listening to our community, working collaboratively, and making thoughtful, fiscally responsible decisions.

Excellent schools require strong leadership, sound financial stewardship, and trustees who put our students ahead of politics. Our schools are one of Roseville’s greatest strengths, and I’ll protect and build on that legacy.

As your trustee, I’ll listen to families, support our teachers and staff, make responsible decisions with taxpayer dollars, and keep our Board focused on what matters most: student success.
